  • September 5 - October 16, 2024: AAUW Utah Women Artists Exhibition 2024: Celebrating Women Bold and Beautiful. Juried exhibition organized by the American Association of University Women of Utah (AAUW) and hosted at the Utah Cultural Celebration Center. Selected artwork: Zucchini Quiche, 2024, Oil on board.   • July 6 - August 31, 2024: Outside The Box: Experiments with new media, techniques, and subjects. Solo exhibition at the Cedar City Public Libarary featuring 4 different series: Stronger Than I Know (A series about mental health, trauma, and healing); Look Closer (A new series of paintings showing macro views of water and other reflective details); Lionfish Blind Photos (A series of long exposure photographs); and Cedar Mandalas (A series of digital collages highlighting unique buildings around town).   • April 5 - May 15, 2024: Impressions on Paper. Juried exhibition at the Center for the Arts at Kayenta. The exhibition showcased various types of printmaking. Selected artworks: Grooves, 2024, Drypoint on CD, and Lino-fish (Lionfish) Filigree, 2023, Linocut with Chine Colle. Jurors: Pat Legant and Royden Card.

  • October 14, 2023 - January 13, 2024: Pup Culture: Mallory Sanders Dog Prints & Puns. Invited to showcase my latest series of Dog Pun Prints at local record store, Groovacious. Solo exhibition combining the technical process of printmaking with lighthearted puns and pop-culture references.

  • August 25, 2023 - February 28, 2024: Solo Showcase - Selected to have my artwork on display at the Johnson Center for Community Arts & Education.

  • July 25 - September 25, 2023: Emotions 2023 (3rd Annual Exhibition and Publication, Gallerium) - International online exhibition exploring the artistic world of human emotions and feelings. Selected artwork: Grooves, 2023, Drypoint on CD. Click here to view the online exhibition.

  • April 15 - May 18, 2023: Dreamland - Participating artist in this invitational of miniature artwork, 3 x 3 inches or smaller. Artworks included miniature acrylic paintings of rock patterns made to look like planets. 

  • 2022: Petersen, M. J., Johnson, R. L., & Anderson, V. J. (2022). A review of Psilochalcis Kieffer (Hymenoptera: Chalcidoidea: Chalcididae) from the western United States with descriptions of three new species from Utah and surrounding states. Western North American Naturalist, 82(4), 704-718. - Commissioned to provide 19 illustrations of various features that define 3 new species of microscopic wasps. The paper published in this journal describes the new species, and required illustrations to demonstrate how these species are different from other known species. Click here to view the article.

  • May 7 - 29, 2021: Five Teachers and Their Students - selected to exhibit with former painting professor, Brian Hoover, in this exhibition celebrating mentorship at the Priscilla Fowler Fine Art Gallery in Las Vegas, NV. Included artworks: Checkerboard Twist, Ford Fairlane Figures, and See You Too (Cu2).

  • October 12 - 22, 2021: Sandy Visual Art Show - had 2 pieces selected to be in this juried community show for Utah artists, won 5th place in the Oil/Acrylic category with the painting A Bit of Bel Air Flair.

  • September 27 - October 12, 2019: A Very Big Tiny Art Show - one of 26 artists in this group show of miniature art installations. Artworks included miniature wire sculptures of various sea creatures.

  • January 10 - March 15, 2019: IMPACT: An Exhibition of SUU Art & Design Faculty and Alumni - invited to exhibit next to my former drawing professor, Eric Brown, at the Southern Utah Museum of Art. Featured artworks: Line Upon Line, Premature Wrinkles, and Bel Air Debonair.

  • October 18, 2017 - January 10, 2018: 32nd Annual Spiritual and Religious Art of Utah Show - State juried exhibition at the Springville Museum of Art. Selected artwork: Line Upon Line.

  • April 2017: Valedictorian of the College of Performing and Visual Arts at Southern Utah University

  • March 23 - April 29, 2017: Senior BFA Show at The Southern Utah Museum of Art - in the exhibition of all graduating art students' capstone work.

  • October 18 - 28, 2016: Sandy Visual Art Show - had 2 pieces selected to be in this juried community show, won 1st place in painting for Checkerboard Twist.

  • July 7 - August 27, 2016: Find Your Park Exhibition at The Southern Utah Museum of Art - had 3 pieces selected to be in this exhibit. Selected artworks: 1535, Perspective, and Belonging.

  • February 23 - March 5, 2016: Responsive Spontaneity: An Intuitive Drawing Exhibition - participated in a 3 day workshop with visiting artist Clive King and had my drawing featured in the exhibition.

  • Kolob Canyon Review - had various artworks in the 2014, 2015, and 2016 Editions.

  • June 25 - October 31, 2015: Adams Theatre 2015 Farewell Art Exhibit - had 2 photographs selected to be in this show.

  • Fall of 2014: Black and White Abstract and Organic and Nature show - had 3 photographs in the juried student show hung on the Garden level of the Gerald R. Sherratt Library. Selected artworks: Pond Skaters, Garden Sparkler, and Barking Up The Wrong Tree. 

  • November 2013, 2014: Sandy Arts Show - had artwork selected to be in this juried show.

  • Summer 2014: BYU MOA Volunteer Muralist - helped artist Kim Schoenstadt paint her mural of Provo architecture for the exhibit Block Plan Series: Provo.

  • Spring 2014: Festival of Excellence - had 3 pieces of artwork in Southern Utah University's Festival of Excellence. 

  • Fall 2013: Espiritu Santo - participating artist in the interdisciplinary interactive performance under the direction of Paulo Acampo. In charge of painting on the body of a dancer in respect to the theme of Espiritu Santo/ All Saints Day.

  • May 2013: Draper Art Show - had 2 pieces in the show.

  • Spring of 2013:The Springville 41st Annual All-State High School Art Show - charcoal piece (Levels of Communication) was awarded Honorable Mention in the 4th Congressional District.

  • Fall of 2012: Mural Project - worked as a muralist on the “Sacred Images” mural hanging in the main hall at Jordan High School. JHS received a grant from The Center for Documentary Expression and Art that aimed to expand knowledge about Native American Culture through the creation of a mural.
